About Tamara
Tamara Bickley is a certified professional makeup artist in Arizona. With makeup skills ranging from on-camera beauty to special effects to creating her own makeup line, Tamara has experienced a broad range of career opportunities over the years.
Tamara has worked with a number of celebrities including television and movie actors/actresses, national and local news anchors, political analysts, politicians, professional musicians, professional athletes, authors and models. Her makeup artistry has been seen in a series of Godiva Chocolatier commercials aired during the Super Bowl; and on professional golfer Cheyenne Woods, the niece of golf icon Tiger Woods, for the cover story of So Scottsdale Magazine in 2015.
In 2021, Tamara's work was featured on the cover of Scottsdale City Life Magazine for actress/model/former "Baywatch" star Gena Lee Nolin.
Tamara was hired by Pantene to do makeup in Los Angeles for models in a series of commercials that were aired internationally. In 2017, Tamara worked with Los Angeles-based celebrity photographer Alex Huggan for a spread featuring U.S. female tennis professionals.
Tamara was the key makeup artist for actress/singer/songwriter Rita Wilson and singer Angelica Hale for Muhammad Ali's Celebrity Fight Night, 2019 in Phoenix.
In Summer 2023, Tamara worked as the makeup artist aboard the Celebrity Adventures' Amalfi Coast Cruise, on a Ritz-Carlton Yacht in Italy. There she did makeup for vocalist/actress/former "American Idol" star Katharine McPhee; and for vocalist/former "American Idol" star Pia Toscano, among other notable guests onboard.
Some of Tamara's other celebrity clients include the late Chester Bennington, vocalist of the rock group Linkin Park, and his wife Talinda Bennington; attorney and political pundit Jim Schultz; former political analyst to President Barack Obama, David Axelrod; Tito Munoz, maestro of the Phoenix Symphony; and authors Diane Lynn and Sylvia Nobel.
Tamara's makeup work has been seen on the covers of local, national and international magazines such as So Scottsdale, Scottsdale Health, Scottsdale Living, Phoenix Magazine, Uptown Magazine, The Arizona Republic, Vogue Italia, Surreal Beauty, KEEL Magazine, Embrace Magazine, and Gothesque Magazine.
Tamara is a makeup artist for HD Broadcast AZ Media, serving celebrity guests of CNN, ESPN, Fox News and MSNBC when they shoot live in Phoenix. As a beauty makeup specialist, Tamara has worked with numerous local and national models for advertising and print media. She is deeply involved in the wedding industry, and has done makeup for 700-plus weddings.
Tamara's passion for makeup has led her to offer both private and group lessons to people throughout the Valley. She also conducts internet tutorials with in- and out-of-state clients wanting to learn her beauty techniques.
In 2013, Tamara launched her own line of makeup, Tami B. Custom Makeup, which she formulates and sells privately to clients. The line has become increasingly popular, as it is vegan/anti-cruelty and Leaping Bunny certified, paraben-free, gluten-free, fragrance-free, and free of harmful dyes and chemicals. Tamara custom blends pure, plant-based ingredients individually for each client. All makeup and packaging is 100-percent USA-made. Tami B. Custom Makeup has grown to include approximately 600 loyal, returning clients in Arizona and throughout the country.
Tamara was born and raised in Chicago, and has lived in Arizona since 1998. She is married to Dan Bickley, sports columnist, author, T.V. sports anchor and co-host of the Bickley & Marotta sports talk radio show on 98.7 FM. The couple have three children.
